Sherbrooke this weekend will vibrate to the sound of Harley-Davidson. The city is hosting the 15th National Rally HOG (Harley Owner’s Group), an event that brings together hundreds of owners of Harley-Davidson.
Organizers expect a record number of participants, since some 1,500 tickets have already been sold.
Participants come from across Canada and the United States, including Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
According to Alex Carron, spokesman for Harley-Davidson Canada, the bike is a hobby that interests more and more young adults and women. “There are many young people now who have the same pleasure as their parents. [...] There are hikes where there are men and women aged 30 to 90 years, “she says.
Ms Carron said that women now constitute 13% of the motorcycle manufacturer’s customer.
A grand parade, comprising 800 riders, is scheduled for Saturday in the streets of Sherbrooke.
